Stroll down the Paihia Village Green on a Thursday between 10am and 1.30pm, and before long, the zesty smell of fresh orange juice will permeate the sea breeze.
Bay of Islands Farmers' Market is a group of growers and producers from across Northland, and it has been providing locals and visitors with fresh food and artisan products since 2004.

Art & Craft Market
Step into the heart of Paihia's vibrant community at the Paihia Village Green, home to one of Northland's most authentic Art & Craft Markets. Set against the stunning backdrop of our beautiful Bay, this market springs to life on days when cruise ships carrying 1750 or more passengers dock in our waters, from September to May each year.
Immerse yourself in the outdoor shopping experience on the lush green of the village. With ample seating areas and shady spots for picnicking, it's the perfect place to unwind and soak up the atmosphere.
Take a stroll under the covered walkway and explore the artistic display showcasing Paihia's rich history. Don't forget to visit the nearby Williams House Library and grounds for even more cultural immersion.
With up to 35 stalls, our Art & Craft Market offers a treasure trove of handcrafted goods. Meet local artists and crafters in person as you browse through wood crafts, ceramics, hand-dyed socks, artisanal soaps, herbal remedies, glasswork, jewellery, and high-calibre art in various mediums. Every item tells a story and promises to be something truly special.
Our talented stallholders, some full-time artisans and others hobbyists, all share a passion for their craft and a warm welcome for our visitors. Whether you're a seasoned local or a curious traveller, you'll find a friendly face and a wealth of creativity at every turn.
