Op Shop Update January 2026

Another hugely busy December. Cruise ships are back in town again, and we love them visiting - their guests are great Op Shoppers and our days reflect that particularly when we get the big girls coming into the Bay!

A huge shout out to Terry Smith and his team, together with Focus Paihia custodians Lee and Simon, for their wonderful efforts on our behalf moving several loads of furniture recently. You have all made our headache go away with the furniture situation, and our booked pick ups on Saturdays are working a treat! Again, as always, the furniture hardly hits the floor in the Op Shop and it is sold, so our furniture room looks very empty again now. If you have any furniture you wish the Op Shop to collect from you, just send us a picture to the Op Shop Phone, (021 081 74665) and ring us to book a time for our team to come and pick up from you.

If you have been down Paihia Lanes in the last 2 weeks, we are sure you will agree it's looking rather beautiful with our new hanging baskets. A huge thank you to Plant Zone Direct in Kerikeri for preparing the beautiful baskets, Lee & Simon for transporting them so carefully across to us in Paihia, Anita and Gavin Burke for a splendid job installing the irrigation system and hanging the baskets for us, and to Mayling from King Wah for allowing us to tap into her water to keep the baskets looking absolutely lush. They are just getting better every week.

Sandy's Christmas Window has been a big success this year - watch this space for her next creative effort. See you all again soon in the Op Shop. From us to you, a very happy New Year and thanks to our Paihia Community for your support throughout 2025.
