Art, Cultural and Sports Grant

Art, Cultural & Sports Grant 2026 - Coming Soon!

We know times are tight, which is why Focus Paihia is delighted to once again offer a total of $10,000 in community grants towards art, cultural and sports initiatives in 2026.

Our annual Art, Cultural & Sports Grant opens 1 July and closes 31 August and we can’t wait to see what our community comes up with for 2026. In the meantime, we encourage all local groups to start thinking about what they might apply for whether it’s a new project, equipment, or support to grow your impact in our community.

This year, we’re introducing a new online application form, which will be available on our website from 1 July. This will make the application process simpler and ensure all applications are easy to review and compare.

Over the years, this grant has supported an incredible range of local groups and projects, from sporting equipment for clubs like Paihia Rugby, Tennis and Swimming, to community initiatives with organisations such as St John, Waitangi Marae, and Oromahoe Kindergarten. We’ve also helped fund youth programmes, waka repairs, event equipment, and even learning and development opportunities.

Please note: to ensure we can support a wide range of groups across our community, applications from organisations that have received funding for two consecutive years will not be considered this year.

More details coming soon, so watch this space!
